Terence and his team deliver some of today’s most advanced voice and data communications technologies, enabling clients to conduct their businesses more efficiently and productively than ever before. In addition to overseeing his team of three project managers, Terence’s responsibilities include reviewing all project activities, ensuring project quality, maintaining site safety and handling billing. On larger projects, he performs an array of project management duties, such as monitoring schedules and budgets, working with the job superintendent to manage labor and materials, pricing and negotiating change orders and overseeing the commissioning process. He also arranges on-site manufacturer’s training sessions for specified cable systems and equipment. And at project completion, he gathers and submits the testing and other information required to obtain manufacturer’s certifications. The result is the technologically sophisticated communications systems clients need for success in today’s highly competitive technological environment.
Expertise
Terence started his career as a serviceman with Kleinknecht Electric/IPC, later holding assistant project manager and project manager positions. He joined Forest as a project manager in 1999, moving up quickly to assistant vice president before taking his current post.
During his more than 15 years in the industry, Terence has acquired a substantial body of project management expertise. His knowledge of the overall project management process enables him to effectively train his team to properly manage their entire projects from start-up through final closeout and billing.
Terence holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the State University of New York at Old Westbury and has taken additional courses at Nassau Community College and Baruch College. Trained and certified to install and service copper and fiber systems capable of running over 10 gigabytes, he has also participated in training provided by Corning Fiber, Systimax, Berktek Ortronics and other manufacturers.
The Personal Side
Terence and his wife have three children, a girl and two boys. In addition to his family, Terence enjoys golf, bowling and coaching his children’s baseball, soccer, football and softball teams.
